You know that one thing that you actively avoid thinking about, talking about and pretend like it doesn’t even exist. For me, finance is that thing. My mental blocks around money run deep. I never took the time to understand how finances work and what the deal is with making and saving money. By the time I realized I had needed to learn, I felt like it was too late, and I was in too much debt to take control of the situation. So what does one do when they feel out of control? Ignore it completely and pretend it goes away. And that’s exactly what I did for a long time.

It wasn’t until recently when I started observing all of the mindset blocks and negativity I harbor around the topic of money and finance.

I’ve started making lists of all of the thoughts I have about money that are straight-up untrue and am slowly working on relearning healthy financial habits.
